yes they have spoken to a few and seems to quite a good response..
boral will add more light to the subject for them as the more coats the more grip the track would have( but it depends on the amount of grit they use as well)........

Not being sarcastic to anybody on this topic of track selection but it is pretty ironic that the track layouts that you people are looking at are awfully similar to what Chad put down a year ago oh but I forgot how quickly people forget what people do good or bad. That’s right they only pick the bad bits.

Well Rex, i never got to see the lay out by Chad so i cant comment about it......how eva the new track is just a bit more flowing to suit electric and the gas guys can use second gear abit more.. it's not concrete yet...

Well the last time boral put crap on the track it had no grip for months so id get details before doing it again.

NEW TRACK DESIGN
Hi Guys,
The coating we are talking about is Boral Topcoat. This is the same as is used at the ILLAWARA Club where they held the HPI Challenge last year.
Our track design will probably be a permanent layout and not a Multi layout. Remember that with a multi layout track the following needs to be addressed
1. Which track to use on a race night
2. Who will set up the track when the design is decided
3. who will drag all the temp barriers out.
4. who will pack it all away
5. where do we store all the gear required
Remember that at present, NO ONE will bother to grab the pit lights to hang them up, no one bothers with seeing if the track needs cleaning with the blower. Most people won`t even both to put there rubbish in the bins provided.
In short very few of the racers that attend offer any help, THIS IS NOT A CRITISISM OF ANY ONE, the facts are that we all tend to turnup and we are focused on our own Cars, Batteries, motors, setups etc. etc. and generally catching up with our mates. The last part is hopefully what this great hobby is all about, FUN and MATESHIP.
Anyway I`ve ranted enough....

Helping your club
Guys we get between 5-10 people helping out before Off Road race meets and 20-30 people helping out at Working Bees.
I am amazed that no-one will help out for the On-Road.
We even get Girls helping out.
This is why the Off Road has taken off so well.
We haven't thrown lots of money at it and paid people to do the work for us.
We just all got in and did the work ourselves and got as much free or donated stuff as we could.
Alot of blood sweat and tears went into the track to get it where it is today.
Now look what the results are, the best Off Road Track between Rockhampton and Sydney and we are holding the Queensland AARCMCC Off Road Titles this year because of what we all have done.
It has been a group effort not just one person.
Come on guys help out at race meets, its YOUR CLUB TOO.
Imagine if no-one did anything!
Where would we all race then?
