Is this true ??????
i was at the novarossi page and found this message
Dear Customers, we inform you that Novarossi highly forbid to anybody, any kind of modifications to their engines and/or to any engine's part. Since now Novarossi will take proper actions against any breaker in any country and in the more convenient ways. is this corect, if it is what r thay gunna do :sneaky: |
They'd have to sue sooooo many people that the legal fees would make them go bankrupt.
|
yeah like they would get you to strip your engine down to see if it has beed modified, ha  i thiught u could do anything u liked to anything u bought but just aslong as u where not making a proffit eg like porting enginges for money,
|
Thats not right. If you do any mods to anything you buy, you will void the warranty, and if the thing explodes or something and causes personal harm, you will be blamed because you mde the modification.
Just like if you buy a car and then change it completely so its illegal, and then go drive it and get caught by pigs, the car company will not sue you, you will just get a fine and your car impounded or something. I would think it would be fake. |
AC i can see where u r comming from if it explodes but any engine can explode and the waranty is void once u have started the engine. this is not important i was just wndering what people thought of it

hehe... just dat id been through this stuff with my kart...

OK guys here it is.
You could get in legal trouble if you modified an engine in the following circumstances. Injury (covered by local laws) 1) If someone or something was damaged and or injured as a direct result of the modification. Copyright and or Trademarks 2) If you were to get a placing and or mention and the name was used in print and or verbally Novarossi would have grounds to sue due to misrepresentation and or illegal use of a registered trademark. SEE YA GT |
yer !!! but the person that did the mod should be the one that gets in trouble!!

The person who modified the engine is the only person who in theory can get succesfully sued, The bottom line being that if this was to occur as a direct fault of the manufacturer they would probably claim "misuse" as the major contributing factor and as we all know money wins legal matters not people and you and I would run out of money long before any major engine manufacturer.
By the way I am sure that Novarossi (who I use and recomend)would not use any dirty tactics should this type of incident ever occur. After seeing recently what can be caused by any fool with a dremel, I think that they are just covering thier backsides. Did I mention Novarossi rule!!!!!!!!!!! GT:nod:   |
