Novak GTB2 Setup Issues
Hey all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out, as I'm having trouble setting up my Novak GTB2 ESC. I know this one-touch setup should be as easy as picking your nose, but for some reason it's not happening for me. First of all I hold the setup button, before turning on the esc. The red light comes on, and I apply the throttle. The green light comes on, at which point I apply the break. The green light begins to flash, so return to neutral, at which point the setup should be complete and the blue light SHOULD come on. INSTEAD, the red light comes on and the green light flashes simultaneously. Has anyone else had this issue? This thing is driving me nuts. I'd really appreciate some help here. |

As mentioned, check your sensor cable. I have the same speedie and saw the exact same lights you have seen. Turned out to be my sensor cable was not fully plugged into the ESC properly.

Thanks guys. I actually tried to force the sensor wire in at the motor end, which had seemed secure Barely budged - didn't expect it to make a difference, but low and behold it seems to have worked.
No more Novak ESCs for me after this one though! |

No more Novak ESCs for me after this one though! What I have found (this goes for all speedies and motors) is that sensor leads do not like been bent at 90 degrees near the plug. I tend to run a longer lead (yeah, it can look ugly) and have sweeping bends. There is less likelihood it will pull out. |
