To All in the Local Area,
In the interest of growing the Tamworth Radio Control Car Club and the RC car sport/hobby in general, our club will be holding an Open Day this sunday coming 23-2-14 from 10am onwards.
The Model Sport Complex is located at, Back Kootingal Road, Nemingha (next to the Nemingha Hall)
This is open to Onroad and Offroad cars up to 1/8th scale. (Unfortunatly 1/5th scale baja's are just too big for our small offroad track.)
Our new local hobby shop, www.toyandhobbymegaworld.com.au are sponsoring this event and donating an Offroad 4x4 RTR including Charger and Battery.RRP $450.00 This absolutly FREE to win.
You just have to turn up and register and have a drive at our Model Sport Complex. Bring your own car or we can supply a car for you to have a drive of. (Onroad and Offroad) A ticket will be given out when you register and this maybe the winning ticket. Drawn late Sunday afternoon.
No experience required and open to all ages.
From interest already, it sound like its going to be an absolute awsome day.
Cool drinks and sausage sizzle available on the day.
So come join us for some fun if your in the area.

(Please note, Enclosed Footware must be warn out in the track area)
For more info phone, Todd 0408242850

Daniel, it went really good. (Very Busy)
We had 64 register on the day and 22 of these people bought their own cars.
Slightly more offroaders than onroaders. But that was expected.
As for new member potentual, there will be a few. We did hand out club membership forms and will now have to wait and see who turns up on race days. We did have a new flyer we were also handing out on the day and is now in our new Hobby Shop to be handed out as well. (Like you suggested awhile back). So cross our fingers, TRCCC club might grow some.
The high light of the day was the seeing the biggest grin on the young 6 year old, Alexander Frewen who won the 4x4 Offroader in the FREE Raffle. He was absolutly thrilled. He was also out driving the car he already has, all morning. His Dad is a previous TRCCC member from a few years back. So i think we might be seeing a few new members from the Frewen Family.
I would like to thank Bruce, and all the staff @ www.hobbyworldtamworth.com.au . Their generosity and help is greatly appreciated by TRCCC.
All in all, we should get a positive out come with new members shortly.
Regards
Todd
