Criteria: video must have F1's racing on the track. If you know of a YouTube video of a track I haven't listed then post it here or PM me
Thanks mate, good idea. It's interesting to see all the different tracks we are racing F1 on!

Dont put up A1 Phil, that was a shocker of a race for everyone,

to set the scene of the carnage the track went from grippy to uber grippy in the space between last qualifier and the first final when the sun finally came out.

but there was some great racing in A2 and A3 once ouor cars were back to being mostly sorted.

Beth.

So sorry, Beth...
  1. A mains grid lineup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zbcdQsyz64
  2. A1 (who was that in 4th spot???): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIStGqgmuGU

Interestingly, I didn't seem to have the same issues as a few with the track, other than if you made the mistake of going onto the blue stuff, the dust would destroy your grip for the next lap or so. I think my diff loosened a bit and I forgot to check it after A1, so my starts in A2/3 were a bit more leisurely.

My cameraman when AWOL for A2 and A3. Seriously, big thanks to Dan for catching the above footage.

Cool!

I'd try the grooved Pit Shmizu tyres. Go to our tyre page and search for "grooved" to get the part numbers. Also if you search for "wet" there's a link to others who have run F1 in the wet.

Let us know how you get on!

I've been told that in Asia they use the TRG Superion tyres in the rain/wet... and apparently slicks work just fine (never tried it though)

Good thought! Treaded tyres are preferable but in the absence of treaded tyres a super soft slick can work and the forums certainly talk favourably about the Superion's in the wet. The Superion's are for the F103, I understand, but as you're using an F104WGP that should work.

Adriano87dj, Let me know what part numbers you end up using as I'm keen to update our tyres section with more Wet weather info.

I'm sure I read on the UF1 website once, that they found regular slicks preferable to grooved tyres.......

Thanks Phil, the event was a lot of fun. The A2 vid captures most of our battle for 2nd as well! Can't wait for the next F1 race, really happy with the WGPs first outing, even more happy once badman found I'd put the eccentric bearing holders in back to front which was causing my snap oversteer

Congrats Craig!

A nice little summary of the SummerNats F1 here.

And continuing our discussion above about running in the wet I've started a YouTube playlist for F1 wet weather videos. Check out the 1st one. Very cool!

Will add to the playlist as I find more.
