Thumbs up Finished my Lazer ZX!!!

Well one of my projects on my holidays was to finish is my Kyosho Lazer ZX.

Keeping within the vintage rule guide here it was fully rebuilt 2 yrs ago. I was just getting used to the amazing handling it poised but the belts started to slip. To say I was dissapointed would be a understatement.

So 2 yrs on and collecting all the parts for another rebuild & armed with more knowledge on it I began.

New Pure Ten ball diffs ( nitro version) were purchased but not used to keep with in the rules if I decide to race it.

New body shell,Wing & undertray as ordered from TBG.

New Decals.

New J.C Racing 5 spoke wheels in white.

New Yokomo adapters .

I decided to try my painting skills at the box art. After I had trimed the shell out I painted all of the inside with liquid masking tape. Marked the desing on the outside of the shell with a sharpie and cut the mask out as you paint it.

This was my first real attempt using liquid masking. I few flaws but still very pleased.

Hope to have it running on Sat.

Looks clean Mark!!

So i finally have time to work on my FAV Mad Max 2 buggy project today. Laid down some Nato Black on the body/frame etc, but i dont know if i'm still feeling the Mad Max thing after seeing THIS:

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/inde...howtopic=68634

Now i'm not so sure, i dont have the time required to build a proper mad max replica but i could do something approximate that would look ok. OR i could build a Baja racer version of my own..... And i did just find some kick ass Traxxas old school sponsor decals at my lhs...
