Default Boiling nylon gears (Factory Way)

I just found an article from one of my vintage D & T magazines on how to boil nylon gears.

This should suit the most demanding Factory driver!

1) Use an old pan!
2) Boil water.
3) Add a touch of salt as water comes to the boil.
4) Gentle place nylon parts in and boil for 30 to 40 minutes.
5) Add dye slowly, until you achieve desired colour.
6) Drain water, then wash off excess dye with cold water.
7) The finished Factory harder product.

Well I guess we'll see when I get down there for the vintage festival??
I'm sure it will be a cracker Cogswappa!!
Still plenty of vintage rides getting around each meet you don't have to worry about that!
The Re Re's are good but as you don't have to worry about parts so much there a good runner, not like the old girl's we would love to race all the time!!
It's good to have some new cars you thrash and not worry about breaking things in the mix!!
cheers,
Foggy

Well Foggy at least you bought something right being a Tamiya.
Very nice indeed and just maybe it's a X Mad Racer Top Force of mine once

Sorry Frank.

I did build a Re re Top Force with yellow shocks. It got sold to shithotlink , My EVO went to him after Mario had it too.

Sometimes you just never now though.

Another great day although the rain did spoil it a little though.
No need to be sorry Mark, just letting you know the history of that particular Top Force.....Foggy you will have no worries with the quality of the build as Cogswappa certainly knows how to build a first class buggy....Check out this xx4 he just built for me

Default Get a Fox up Ya

Just got these pic's of the Tamiya club guys.

I don't like the stickers or the crude front sway bar set up. Still can't wait to get it.

Yep bring that shit on!!! That's one for the collection for sure!!
just a quick up date, the deal I struck with the sc10 all went south!! The Ballbag I was getting it off decided to change his mind and refund my money after days of not hearing from him!!!
Anyway...... I kind of set my heart on a truck so I decided to do something that I haven't done since I bought my RC10 B3, and that's buy a new kit!!!
Sorry Mark it wasn't a Turdigy, although it was hard to pass up! There will be one other member in the club that will be pleased with my purchase but!!!
still not sure about tomorrow just yet, if I don't make it have a good one and stay shiny side up!!
Cheers,
Foggy
