Would starting earlier help?, seeing as we had a late start last week due to the presentations and drivers meeting. If we start at the usual time things should get through ok?.

As others have suggested come down tomorrow night and have a look at what folks are using, all depends on what class you want to race in be it 540, 21.5, stock or modified (That's the motor classifications for the touring cars).
There's also other forms of racing such as open wheel F1 cars, and front wheel drive Mini's.

As it's getting close to a large event next weekend there's going to be a lot of people there getting thier cars dialed in for the event so you'll be able to see a broad spectrum of different cars and budgets.

After a break of 10 years from racing rc cars I came down to have a look one Friday night last year, had a talk with some of the folk there and that's all it took to get me back into racing at the hill.
You don't have to go out and get the latest and most expensive stuff to have fun racing here, I bought back one of my old cars that I sold to a friend ten years ago and am having fun with it.
From my first night there I had people come up to me and offer help in many different ways.
It's not just a great night of racing, it's also a great night out

Cheers.
Rob.

p.s. Hope all goes well for you too Dean.

Thanks to everyone at the Hill for another fun night of racing.
So glad I stayed for my final had a great battle with Jim. Either I have a really slow car or you have a really quick one.

Cribbin good effort with my 12th scale. I think it would still be there if someone didn't point it out. Next time I will not be so kind. Lol

Big night last night reminds me the old days about 12 year back. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Still in a head spin from the numbers racing last night and and wave of entries that came in for CC next weekend.

Last night was insane and immensely fun, so many people there and the mini race was very entertaining, with 11 cars on the track at the same time I thought there would be carnage but there was some great and close racing!
You had one of the biggest grins on your face last night Trev, especially after our finals race - the 3 way race between Noel, yourself and I was a highlight of the night for me.

Thanks to Trev, Linda and all those that help to make the racing at the hill a great place to race and to be part of the good folk that are there week after week.
It's been 20 years since I last took place in a large rc event, the excitement and anticipation I'm experiencing now is even more then I used to feel way back then.
I'm so looking forward to next weekend

To be honest Rob I have been enjoying my racing in the last few weeks I have been running with you guys very close and very clean. IF I run next week I have to bring in the turdo and play with boys in 21.5 . See how I go in practise on Saturday. With the numbers we could have for this one and most of the people that normally look after my car at these events will be busy with other things so I can't see me racing this one. But only time will tell. See how the practise day goes on Saturday.
