Having been away for a long time, I'm looking at coming back and racing again on Friday nights. A question. Is the M-05 r quicker than the M-03 (all else being equal). I'm tossing up whether there's any benefit in lashing out on a new chassis and wondering if there's any point if its not any faster.
Cheers

while not being a Mini expert, I have noted that the M-05 mini has been the mini of choice for a while, including the updated version that takes the more "square" profile lipo batteries.
That being said, Ian Webber has been very competitive with his M-03 in the past couple of mini nights.
If you're thinking of updating, you may also consider the newly released M-07, which has a little more adjust ability, and a more rigid chassis - however it still does retain some of the usual "challenge" in driving it, and retains the same electrics ie- non sensored 13t brushless Hobbywing (or equivalent) motor & esc.
The Mini's will be racing next Friday night (1st September), which will have a good spread of the different models, so it may be a good chance for you to come down, and do some more research about which way you wish to go.
Regards.

Due to the Showground, and the facilities being used for the Orange Blossom Festival for 3 weeks in the month of September, we will only be racing on the 1st & 29th of September.
Because of this, the additional speciality nights of Mini & Gt racing have been moved to the following dates:
Mini will be run on the 1st September 2017.
GT will be run on the 29th September 2017.
Thanks for your understanding, and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
*edit*
Track opens for practice around 5:30pm
Registrations open 5:30pm
Racing commences 7:00pm
Entry fee's
$10 for members
$13 for non members
Enter multiple classes on the night, and only pay for your 1st class, the rest are free.
Regards.

It was great to see everyone again on Friday night, the warmer weather didn't deter anyone to come out and have a fun night of racing.
The results of the night can be found below, and I'll also have some video footage to upload as well.
Next week will be GT night, which means the 2 door sports cars get to race on the new track layout.
Until next Friday, take care, & stay safe all.

Something a little different for the Castle Hill RC OnRoad race meeting on Australia Day
- Practice from around 3pm. Would be great to have plenty arrive by 2pm to help set-up the track.
- Racing to start at 5pm.
- 3 qualifiers and 3 finals
Come and celebrate Australia Day with the Castle Hill RC team.

Chelsea and I are looking to come racing this Friday (11 May). What classes will be racing? Given the time that has passed since we each turned a wheel, we may need a night in novice to get the feel of things!
