I've got some proper 416 ones coming but if you have any 46x3 hinge pins I can use in the interim that'd be cool. I've mostly straightened the bent one anyway so it's no biggie, I was hoping to have a run tomorrow night but it looks like the R*#@ will spoil the party

Edit: awesome thanks Simon

Default Steering Servo

Hey guys,

I was wondering what type of servo most of you are running?

I am still running on the older cheap type and am now in the market for a better racing one.

I understand most people are running digital (metal teeth) of some sort?

Ben

I use the KO PDS 2413 ICS low profile in my 416 as it fits the forward facing servo location very nicely leaving lots of room for your esc and rx. For my RRR I've got the JR Z9100S Digital Ultra Hi-Speed Surface Servo, it's servo erotica with a transit time of .06s

Good servos make such a difference

Yeah youd be surprised how much of a difference a fast servo makes. Especially on a tight track like ours.

I use the low profile servos. Either the KO 2413 or Futaba 9551

Default Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone.

Finally got the kids to bed and now it is time to bolt some push bikes together. Either that, or test drive the Wii that the wife got me

Thanks guys for your advice, it will not be wasted.

As for the pushbikes Andrew, the shop put mine together for the kids. As for dads RC car, i got the pleasure of working on that myself.

I use the same servo. Fantastic servo. KO gear has never let me down.

Every tyre comes out of factory has different size. We measure them all the time (every run) because rollout changes as tyre wears down. Don't need true down too much, just a little bit.
Yes, purple front and pink rear has been good for SMA. You can run D.pink front if you need more steering but they wear out very fast.

Just put the car together and run it.
