Did you slide the motor over and re-mesh the gears?

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Never mind on the last comment, you have a TT-01 and you can't slide the motor over. According to the instructions you can only use a 61T spur and 19T-22T pinions. I'm not sure about using a 55T spur? If it does work refer to page 5 of your TT-01 manual and it shows you where to use the different pinions to get the proper mesh. http://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcmanual/tt01.pdf

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Nothing happened, i am after all the Advantages i can get to try and beat scotty. I was doing alright until he worked on his car and fixed all the problems. I am fast i just need to be a bit more consistent.

Also i changed the center shock on the BMI 10, it was hard to tell if it made any difference or not as the speedo kept cutting in and out on the track (but it was fine in my street and at ACT). I think i need to change the tyre combo a bit as i think that is where the problem is, harder rears softer fronts.

Steve, there should be little piece of paper in the bag of the pur gear set. There's a picture and a table that explains that you should mount the motor in position "A". You can only use the 55 teeth spur with the 25 teeth pinion, if you use anything smaller it doesn't touch. It works, I'm running the 55/25 set.

The BMI had WAY too much steering today. It doesn't come with enough front ride-height spacers to give a proper front setting. And the front suspension wasn't free enough (build issue). My servo was a problem all day, and died completely before the final. Apart from that, it's GOLD. Once I get it dialed, you're all goin' down! Highly recommended

Also, I'd just like to add I was up to 3rd in the 10.5 A-main until I crashed trying to avoid some backmarkers and broke an arm at the end of the straight. You're goin' down McPhee

What a fantastic meet today. Heaps of new drivers and perfect weather. We had a total of 55 entrants with 9 race's per round.

The nitro final was a fun race, although my set up wasn't perfect and i was unable to push too hard. Fourth place was good for me and big congrats to Paul Smith for a very good win.

Highlight of the race meet has to be the Mini A Main final. Den DeMarco leading 95% of the race with Simon and Ray close behind. With one lap to go, Simon took the lead and took a welll deserved win.

Thanks to all those (too many to name) who helped out during the day and see you all next week for the Greg Still Cup.

Please remember that next Sunday is a normal race and a point score round. The Greg Still Cup (for nitro) will consist of the standard 5 minute qualifiers (3 in total) and a 30 minute A Main final. Time to get the pit strategies sorted.

Did your 13.5 cook beyond repair or is it still usable. Might be time to get a 10.5.
10.5's should be geared at around 5.7:1 and 13.5's can go as low as 5:1. This always depends on ambient temperature and a motor cooler (with fan) is a must.
