Default F103GT

Would anyone be interested in running an F103GT class and if so what size motor would be best suited. They are really cheap to buy at the moment and i have been contemplating getting one.

I know of at least two people at SMA that have them.

I've never actually driven mine, but I reckon stock motors would be the way to go... too much power & two wheel drive The perfect receipe for disaster... errr... I mean awesome wheelspinning fun!!!

In summary, I'm up for it!

you might as well just get a 12th scale. if you try to race too many classes you'll find that it will only be popular at SMA for about 1 or 2 meets and it will die out. (when i say popular, i mean maybe 4 people will race in it).

i don't see the point. SMA has Drifting, minis, mini outlaw, modified, stock, 12th scale, if you add another class it won't work. outlaw tuesdays are pritty quiet at the moment and doesn't seem to attract as many racers as our normal pointscore tuesdays.

i say go 12th, at least you have the whalen racers/track that can visit SMA and vica versa wit the SMA guys.

What he said......

I know the F103 is cheap but any 1/12th is a better car alround. Dearer to set up but at first cheap to run, plus you have growing interest from the Whalan guys.

As far as 1/12th being quiet at SMA, we've been to Whalan a bit over the past month or so and having exams etc set on wednesdays is stuffing me up for tues night meetings, lately. Roll on warmer weather and the end of semester

On ebay, about $200 including delivery. Check out the link.

It is the type of car i would like to run every now & then and being rear wheel drive, a bit different. I have the F201, but it is not the type of car I want to run every meet and the F103 will be the same.

I know some of you have F103's and it would be a good chance to dust of the cobwebs.

I will be there to run the meeting, but I will also bring my 1/12th to race as I'm sure that someone can fill in for me when 1/12th is on.
Nearly got my Mini all finished too.

Looks like i won't be running on Sunday as my wife is working.

Looks like Kyosho is the car to beat at the world nitro's and are filling the top 3 spots.

Rody, it could have been you!!!!!
