Battery

I have a TOP Multi-Function charger discharger.

When charging a brand new 4300 Li-Po stick pack the following message is displayed

"Bat Vol Err Cell connect"

Exactly what does this mean? I read it as there is something wrong with the blue sensor wire connection. As the leads work on other batteries I gather there must be something wrong with the sensor terminal inside the battery.

Comments and ideas appreciated.

I too have had this issue in the past and occasionally when I am charging lipo batteries and normally I follow this process:, check your connections, make sure you use a balancing block(and have it connected the right way around and using the correct port) and have the correct charging setting.
What charger are you using??? As I use the venom ac/dc charger and have no issues, but have used a thunder power rc charger and had nothing but that error until I took it back and exchanged for the venom.

Last time I got that sort of error, my starter box lipo had taken a dump, two cells were under voltage, and as a result the charger did not want to charge it, stating some voltage error.

It could also be just not detecting the right cells for a voltage rating in general, but I'd be doing some checks with a multi meter on the battery, make sure all the cells are ok.

Play safe

With all Lipo charging I recommend it be done in a safe area well clear of anything flameable.
I've heard of some Lipos going up in flames so play it safe when charging if left unattended.
Definately do not leave battery in RC car when charging.
Was sent a photo once of a nicely melted and burnt RC truck as a result of a Lipo charging gone bad.
