Yeah, there was a bbq down there, but I think it was in use or taken away just prior to the end of year bash. I think it belongs to the Lions... anyway, one way or another we would have our own down there ! when we get there!!!

Hi Rodney,we are just starting our first round (open day today)first race meet in 2 weeks.I suppose it wont take long to bust a few bodies, then the orders will start for sure.Jack still hasn't run his Reinhardt body that you did for him.I think he'll probably marry it instead.
All the best for the new year to you & your family from the Taswegian gang!!

Only Rocket, Beggies and Tony Porter are so far running in 19 class.
None of us other Hobart drivers are good enough to drive in the same class as you Launceston guys.

BBQ Sunday
Hey Guys
There is a chance that Sunday may be a day of Total Fire Ban. If this is the case, portable gas bbq's are not permitted unless you have a hose and running water at hand, 10lts of water on standby, a clearence of blah blah metres around the bbq site with no flamable materials within that area etc etc, which would make it a hassle to have all that set up as well as cooking a BBQ in 36 deg temps.
If it does turn out to be a day like that, I was thinking that I would make up on Sunday morning a heap of salad rolls etc instead and keep them in the esky, as well as plenty of ice cold drinks and icy water on hand as that bitumen is gonna get stinkin hot.
Any thoughts on that idea, as even though i could not imagine anything at all going wrong with the bbq where we usually cook with it, if something was to go astray, the ol proverbial would hit the fan i am sure.
Tone.

Yep, the menu tomorrow will be one of rolls and sandwiches, mixed varieties to suit all tastes, well maybe not all
I have heaps of still spring water in despensers and cups etc as well as the usual fizzy stuff, so there will plenty of fluid about to rehydrate.
Thanks to Matt and Banjos Kingston, the number one stop for all of your eating requirements, for helping out heaps with fresh produce for the rolls etc tomorrow.
