Good luck finding any of them in Australia; I wanted to get the LRP Zero Brushless but can't find it in Australia nor anywhere reputable on line. And yet I can't use my 3 year old Competition Spheres, nobody had a problem with them 3 years ago.

The reason the LRP Spheres are not on the list is because they are not a zero timing ESC as they have approx 20 degrees of timing built in to them which can not be changed.

The inbuilt timming of a speedo is not the problem with stock. Its the same as mechanical timming on the motor, as in its over the entire rpm range. And there is only so much total timming you can run with a pizza dish pinion before the smoke comes out.

The problem has always been the ramp timming of the tekins and the like which give you the best of both worlds.

I thought the new rules were chosen so the 25% of stock races that dont have a tekin can continue to run what they had, while the tekin people ran flashy light. ie know one had to fork out for new gear. As it stands now the people that have run the old gear for 12 months (getting it handed to them every week) still have to buy new gear now.

Yes, but the problem with your argument is that you using logical reasoning, which is just an absurd concept. Of course my LRP Sphere Competition or Venom 120 are as competitive as a Tekin RS Pro or Mamba Max Pro, that's why they gain 10m on me everytime they hit the straight. Just do mod next year like everybody else and let stock die, then all you need is a new motor. Much cheaper.

The list has been out for some time and is regularly updated.

You can get it from the downloads section of the AARCMCC website or from here:

Well that would depend on what esc you are running and if it is legal. It is also important to note these new rules only effect aarcmcc sanctioned events and it is up to your club whether they want to run them at club meets.
