Auto Salon
information about the race meeting at auto salon is available - i have some .pdf entry forms/rules/track layout and will put them online later, but i think they are also available at - www.autosalon.org
matt leeming looks like he has organised a 'national' (east coast) series with a round at auto salon in sydney, mebbourne, brisbane and an A final final back in sydney - indoor racing
the 1st race will be held over the 4/5 may at the showground and run on a concrete track - there is a class for everyone - except any nitro car (as i read it)!
shoule be fun - who's going to have a run?

Should be a lot of fun, i just hope that entry fees are not too outrageous, i would also suggest that there is a nominal fee for any additional classes, as this would greatly bolster numbers, and provide an even better show for the public, i am sure most racers out there race in more than one class.

i might go to it.
it's $15 for entry into the show (not the races).
I might getting free admission

i have put the details on-line, they are in .pdf form so most people should be able to read them
GO HERE and follow the link on the front page
the cost will be $30 (for 1 class) for both days racing - that includes entry to the show

there ought to be a nitro class.

I think it's indoors that's why.
and outside the convention centre you'd need another permit from council?

I will be posting the official entry forms for this event shortly...
BTW: there is a Nitro class but it's by invite only and limited to 8-10 drivers.
Nitro is very entertaining for the public, so the Nitro events will be held as "demos" for the viewing public. It was not possible to support a large number of nitro classes and entrants, at the particular venue being used.

Right...another place to get your entry forms is here:
Autosalon Track Layout
Autosalon Entry Form Part 1
Autosalon Entry Form Part 2
this will be a very big event, and a huge bonus to the RC industry.

I'll be there, but most likely not racing, on stall for Vaggs Hobbies. Hopefully it won't be to busy, so I might be able to do a couple of laps. Have to see if I can do it after hours.
