This weekend, we lost the friendliest man in RC Motor Racing.

Most of the RC drivers that have been around for ten years or more knew him as 'Big Friendly Dave' . . .

I received a call Sunday morning to learn of the tragic loss of Mr David Scott.

I first met Big Friendly at Condell Park and was lucky enough to spend time with Dave and the Hurstville crew every Friday Night back in the day.

As details come to hand of the Funeral arrangements, I'm sure there will be many in the Australian RC community that will want to attend so they can say their farewell to Mr David Scott, and pay their respect to his Family.

Big Friendly . . . You will be missed, but never forgotten, my friend.

Had a sad call from Matt Dall on Sunday informing of this tragic news.

Big Friendly was a great guy, spent a fair bit of racing time together at Hurstville then the old eastern creek track.

Best wishes to his family and those closest to him

For many years Big Friendly was my RC Racing partner in crime, he drove me to race tracks all over the place and often gave up his own racing to be the best pit man i ever had. Many of my best and funniest memories in RC racing involved Dave.


Rest in Peace Dave, we will never forget you.

This is such sad news to hear... Big Friendly never had a bad word for anyone and alway had a smile on his face when we raced in Hurstville. You will be missed mate. RIP.

Will have his funeral held at Woronora (Sutherland) Cemetery,
Next Tuesday 22nd, 1:00pm at the South Chapel Crematorium.

All friends will be more than welcome to attend.
