TITC 2010
13 entrants from Australia across all classes for TITC 2010 should be a blast.
Thought I would start this thread so everyone going can compare travel details/dates so we can meet up over in Thailand. GRANT MOUNT and myself will be arriving on the 23 of Feb and leaving on the 2nd of March. Brett |
Not too long to go now, should be an awesome event, made better by mates going over.
I just hope the weather stays under control over there. The hot and steamy stuff gets overpowering. I will be doing the family thing from the 13th, racing from around the 23rd, and flying out on 1st. Seems like most of the Ozzies are staying in the Sukhumvit area, with the Dawin Hotel looking like a good option for accomodation. The official hotel is too far away for the nightlife. Would be good to stay close so we can share cabs etc to the track. |
going from 18/2 to 20/3 cant wait and no brad im not sharing a cab with you haha or my stuff might almost fall out the back of taxi like it nearly did at the worlds.

Does anybody have the address of the track or better still a goggle map location ?

I think the suburb is Lat Phrao, there is an address listed on the website www.titc.in.th Access appears to be along the Chalong Expresway, straight down to Sukhumvit, google maps gives you a good idea of distances, however i cant locate the actual track on the satellite maps. |

And no I am not sharing a taxi with you two sumos .. I will use our car :D:D |

In your suitcase, put all parts and tools inside cardboard kit boxes, i can fit 2 in my suitcase, then wrap the bodies in clothes etc. Go through all your gear and have a good think about what you actually use at the track and what you dont, you will be shocked at the amount of fluff you carry around with you. The rest packs down pretty easy. Remember no tools in your carry on or it will be taken. |

My suggestion would be to print out a copy of the map on the TITC site and give it to a Thai Taxi driver and get him to take you there. Just make sure he understands what you want first.:nod:
