Tools needed for a Xray

I am just about to get a Xray from HK and I realized that I may not have the right tools to do the job "properly" ;)

I have a 1.5 and 2.5 Hudy hex drivers (for the TA04), numerous screwdrivers and so forth,

what are the essential size tools needed for Xray's,

thanks

You will need a 1.5 for all grubscrews, a 2.5mm for wheel screws and motor screws, and a 2mm for all other screws. A 3mm is also handy to help changing shock location, but not essential.

For the cost of them just grab another 2mm and a 3mm it wil be worth it in the long run.

Hope you enjot your sexray experience, they are a great car.

Excellent, thanks dude,

get the 3mm ballend (not the straight one) for the shocks, its makes things easier, get a straight 2.5mm for the wheels, as ballend ones will strip the wheel screws easy. get the 2mm ballend for the droop screws because the straight one hits the rear swaybar when its connected. get a straight 2mm aswell.

like Besercoe said, it will be worth it in the long run.

how often are the ballend's used?

I have el'cheapo a set of metric ballend hex drivers that could be used as well,

3mm is always for the shocks.
2mm ballend is only used when the rear swaybar is on, you cant get a straighty tip 2mm in there properly.

there is no point getting things you already have, so use what you already got.
