Anodizing
Who are the best anodizers in Melbourne? I want my Mi4 done :)
Happy to send interstate if I can get a better job |
There are heaps of electroplaters in Melbourne. Do a Yellow Pages search and I'm sure you will find someone local to you that will do an excellent job.
Cheers Shane :tire: |
I have looked up some places on yellowpages.com.au and phoned around but the places I have called say no small jobs or don't have a light blue  can any one help?

did you get the shiny or the matte finish? i went for shiny and now im scared my bulkheads are going to look like those anodized ash trays you see in pubs :lol::lol:
the shiney would look really nice with a black, or a red, or blue, maybe matt is better in say a pink, or a gold. he also does a clear coat, so you can take the parts to a metal polisher, then get the dude to clear coat it for a chromed look:sneaky: the shiney helps preserve the colour as it's a clear coat. Just after anodising, wash the parts in a soft soap with warm water, or a very mild detergent to get the residue off, and to make the parts look bright. they look a bit dull after the work due to the chemicals and stuff. |
I contacted Ron today, a woman answered and wants a list with gauge, size and weight of each part, did any one have to do this?

id say its because he cant actually physically view the pieces.. i just took them down to him and he quoted me there and then.
Maybe take a photo of all the bits with a ruler next to them for scale, and email them the photo. |

Try A Grade Anodising in Ormeau QLD...they do all our racecar stuff at work, turn around is real quick and they charge us about $300 for about 10 panels. Im sure an RC car would be cheap as.
