Default Bodies

The main controlling factor for the bodies that are being used is the tyres you need to use bodies that cover the tyres and most bodies we use are at least 200mm wide. I think the Camaro is 210mm at the rear.

I agree with Bob on that one, the HPI Mustang rear guards are filled right out and look spot on.
I like the Camaro better, but it really needs spacing out to look right...

As far as type, as long as it is pre '80 and doesn't have an incorrect scale spoiler, it should be sweet.
It would be nice if the guy that makes the Aussie shells made some different options.
He makes : Holden FX, LJ and LH/LX Torana,HK Monaro
: Ford XY and XA Falcon
: Valiant Charger (not sure which CJ ?)
Feel free to list the others,or ones you would like to see made.

so i have my car together...drove her up and down the street seemed slow as...then noticed that the front wheel have just about rubbed thru the front uprights...has anyone else with a tamiya had this issue...will have to steal some wheel hexes off another car..just hope there is enough thread to keep the wheel on...

any other way to solve it???

Should we come up with an approved body list that can be easliy added to by maybe a quick post on the forum, that way everyone can know what they can run and if they want to run something else they can put it forward so we all can agree on it.

That way if you want to run with the masses you could run a
HPI Mustang, Camero, 'Cuda, Stingray.
or you could run
Bolink 'Cuda, Chevy.
If you want to run an old skyline, as long as its 200mm and the wheels fit, submit it and majority rules.

I think the more bodies the better. The ACT titles was fun but I think the B quaily only had Cameros in it (cause they are slow )

I also think the list should have pics

Most of us that use Tamiya have put 6mm hex on the car as well as some small spacer on the front to give the clearance you need
