Associated B44 Build

Hi Guys,

I have done it and ordered my B44 kit.

A couple of questions hopefully someone can assist with?

Where can I get the shell painted as my painting is horrendous?
I have a vector x12 6.5 and 7.5 ordered what pinion is a good place to start?
I still have to get a Lipo battery, charger and radio what do you recommend?

Thankyou for your time

Cameron

use a 23 with the std spur for the 7.5 and you will be fine. if you have a long straight you can stretch it to a 24 with no issues.

winnning edge designs in the USA (through Jconcepts website) does good work. or try the local painting thread here in AUS.

you can get trakpower batteries and charger/balancer from modelflight in SA. They are reliable and the cells are excellent. you will also need to pick up the AE lipo braces or the diggity ones

radio is personal preference given the feel and everything, you will want spektrum for hassle free running though.

Gearing will obviously depend on where you race. I have a 84/19 with the 6.5t. As far as batterys go well I would go for the intellect ip 4200 or the new fantom 40c 5000mah packs. Going from a 20c pack which is the trakpower to a 30c intellect pack has made a massive difference. Car is a lot more punchy and the packs fit better than the trakpower with the diggity designs lipo tray.

Agree with fanboi..going from 20c to 30c rating is massive in terms of punch and speed for your buggy I found...

SAE to be exact. 4-40 and 5-40 are the major threads. Unfortunately, metric is necessary.

0.050''
1/16''
5/64''
3/32''
A long shaft ball end 2.5mm

They are the "Allen keys/Hex drivers" you will require.

3/16''
1/4''
11/32"

These are the nut drivers you will need.

I use a Losi hex driver set, along with the JConcepts imperial allen wrench set. Coming from using cheap tools, these are an absolute dream to use, and were worth every $.
