Track building working bee
Guys heres a update.... Due to things out of the clubs hands were in the stage of changing our plans due to man power in certain ways and lack of funds for the way our plans have changed...
So we will be aiming for a working on the Sunday the 4th of August.
Now I know we harp on about working bee's but this working bee we need everyone there to finally build the track... That day will be the biggest day for the whole year as if you are unable to work at working bee's for the year I and we as a club aren't going to bust your chops but this day which again is the 4th of August we want all hands on deck.
So I pleed to you please put this in your calendar as this day is the most important for the year like I said. We will put on a bbq for sausages and some cans of drink and we need to get this sorted.
Cheers for your time and due to things outside the club we can't delve that info to why plans have changed but your support for the club will never go unnoticed....

the working bee
our plan subject to rain.
1) get lots of tyres about 1,000 of them we can pick them up on friday or monday arvos if ya can help please do, ring me or bruce for info.
2) build tyre walls and fence wall.
3 get bobcat to dig drain, power cable trench, rough in the track, smooth out canteen ramp and any other thing we need to do.
4) lay the powercable in the trench and get it hooked up.
5) hook up water.
6) HAVE AS MANY CLUB MEMBERS ON SITE TO HELP FINISHING STAGE OF TRACK BUILD, ON THE 4 Aug 2012 ALL DAY.
We have organised bobcat time and key people to be there at the right time.
WE NEED YOU ALL ON THE 4TH TO HELP, other people are giving up there afternoons all week friday and saturday. were sitting up late practising race laps, Were getting advertising sponsorship from local buisnesses.
I promise if we get you all there on the 4th we will race in August (if it doesn't rain).

hi all, if anyone wants to grab some tyres during the week they are more than welcome to stop in to danny liebkes tyre service at 46 clifford st. the best days are friday and monday as the tyre recyclers come first thing tuesday morning and take what ever is there. if you need to call me, my number is 0478065423. if i dont answer, please leave a message and i will get back to you asap. i will also talk to the people across the road at tyre power and see if we can take their tyres as well.

This is it this weekend You help build and you can have a race track.
Sunday we need you please come and help, bring a rake, shovel and gloves (and some water).
i will make your lunch.
The bobcat finishes on sat we need the final shaping and track border layed out pit lane built and other stuff.

Hi everyone just letting you all know its all happening and ready for sunday...
I know Meakin is on this sunday and for ppl competing in the beta tyres series good luck for the day...
For the rest of us I hope we can get enough ppl there on the sunday too build the rest and shape the rest of the work.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone on sunday at the track as I am so sure everyone will be happy with whats been done and what is all going to be done in the next couple of weeks...
9am Sunday morning and (closed in shoes) are a must. Bring gloved and a good hat cause there is bugga all shade out there... As for anything else make sure u have water of fluid to drink as there is no running water that is safe to drink on site..
Pete has very kindly sourced food and drinks for everyone that helps and hopefully as I will only say the letter W and not the word that everything will continue as planned...

burning the midnight oil
Hi All
Well fordy just left home after we welded 200 odd pegs up,
OMG you will be so happy when you see what we have done, from a pile of crap we built a race track we now have two berms not one and i just cant believe how good it all looks its just great.
3 people have done in one week what others have had 7 months to do and didn't. the rain slowed us down the lock outs cramped our time frame but by the race god its almost done now.
I would just like to say for all to see, Thanks again fordy and Lyndon without you two there would still not be a race track there would only be a flat piece of ground and a wishfully thought.
And to any one who comes to winge, before you speak, LEAVE!!!
we have only listened to those who have SPOKE. IF YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE DIFFERENT YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE.
BE POSITIVE OR BE GONE After you help finish the track.

17 hours for today for me and I have to say every minute worth it......
Guys when you come tomorrow I really hope its all positive as between the ppl that have done all this work has been nothing but positive the whole time.
Pete and Lyndon need a great shake of the hand as its just crazy what we have done.... It will be a great area like no one will ever even go close to understanding what we have come from in 3 months but I dont care where it WAS its only where it is......
So please come tomorrow and smash the rest of it with us and by the end of the day we are another day closer...
