Murray gets it one, see us Kiwis are more culture than Aussies (if an Australian had got it I would have crossed the ditch and used my other passport he he he)

Hmmm - those comments speak VOLUMES about you ! LOLOL

Classes for vintage are pretty stable at this point in time (as stable as they will be until the next get together! )

Classes are: 540, sports tuned or brushless equivelant and Mod or brushless equivelant (you can run a stocker in mod if you want). Motor classes are of course up for debate...there is never any shortage of that! Li-Pos are in and happily accepted as long as the club hosting the event is happy to do so.

The biggest sticking point is actually getting the defining list of cars together that are Pre January 1991......it will happen - just slow going at the moment.

Cheers

Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah,ah .... don't start here, keep those vintage comments to the vintage thread, I know as soon as you start mentioning classes and cut off dates etc we will get swamped!!!!

Geez, it's bad enough with the current classes!!!

By the way hope you can make it on Saturday, it would be good to have some old friends of the track returning.

Nick

LoL - yeah lets keep this thread about what it has been!! LOLOL Love your work mate. Thought that a change of subject would be better!

Yeah - I dont know if Jenny would agree with me being a "friend" of the Track though - I was a St Ives boy! Many meetings of myself, Bob Burbage and Mr Harlow (and numerous others) were spent in friendly "trackwars"......ahh- the good old days, when the club racing was the most important thing about our hobby....... There was certainly more comraderie then - even if the clubs were highly competitive with eachother...

I was only talking to Mick Harlow last night about how awesome interclub challenges used to be - and classic events like the St Ives cup..... Now there is a "big" meeting that you "have" to attend if you "want to be competitive" seemingly every weekend (a slight eggageration - but you know what I mean)..... This leaves the clubs with fewer, more experienced drivers to show newcomers the way and to give them something to apsire too. It will change though - as the purse strings are tightened with the recession - I reckon if clubs play it smart - some of the glory days could be re-captured.

I hear that there are moves afoot to get more interaction between the clubs in Sydney and the coast - this should be wholeheartedly encouraged.

I will be racing at St Ives on Sunday as well....you gonna make it? I am quite nervous about the new layout - as it is going to hurt not seeing my old favourite track - no matter how "simple" it was....just as well the people and the club are as friendly and well organised as they always were - just a few of the faces have changed.

Cheers

Darryn

If you've got two under five y/o they can become very tiresome. However I was more referring to their books that are UTTER CRAP! The DVD's are good distraction fodder, but for books give me Dr Seuss any day.

BTW, don't forget Collectors tonight at 8pm ABC1, story on RC collectors.
