If you're happy with your motor,
spend more on the speedy

im buying a novak gtb with 10 turn motor for 150 posted.

i tried to use the motor iwth my mamba max pro and it just jolted. didn't spin at all. so i dont know if the motor is broken or not.

but i guess if the motor is fine. then i have a spare 10 turn to play with too.

oh well.

Jolting generally means it is wired up wrong

that is what i thought. the mmp does say that the 3 wires coming from it have no polarity and can be wired up either way.

i took the motor apart, and just blew into it to clean it a little. put it back together and then when i plugged the battery in the speedy went 'poof'.

So i dont know if it was something i did, honestly, i have no luck with motors.

but it was strange how the speedy crapped itself as soon as i tried to plug the battery in, the switch wasn't even on so oh well.

Im getting a new one and if this motor is ok then i have a spare 6.5 or 10.5 motor depending on the day and traction.

It depends.. If you're running sensorless, then yes, you can wire it up any way you like. If its wrong, then it'll just turn the wrong way.
But if you're running Sensored, you must wire it A-A, B-B & C-C.

Btw, if it popped as soon as you plugged the batt in, without turing in it on. That sounds like you got the +ve / -ve mixed up. The switch only turns the BEC on and off. It doesn't disconnect power from the ESC. (hence why you need to unplug the lipo when your done otherwise you'll have a dead lipo next time you get to your car.)

i think i may have gotten them mixed up. Witi the dean plugs yot can still touch terminals together they just wont go in. Oh well. Also john with my sensored trinity if i wire it aa bb cc it prior backwards. And if i reverse my radio settings it only reverses the throttle on the radio not the direction of travel. So i changed ac and ca and it spins forward. But my motor can be used sensored or sensorless so that could be why. Cause i always have th sensor wire in
