Nick, you are the Hobbyking king, ....question...my mate wants a brushless system for his B4.1, wants to run in mod. What decent HK ESC and Motor would you recommend? Can you get them as a combo?
Can anyone recommend a brushless system that's good, valued at a maximum of $150?
Cheers

I have one of these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ess_Motor.html that I have been trying to kill for some time now with very little success, rather frustrating really, I used be good at killing motors. But pretty much any of the ones branded Hobby King or Turnigy are pretty good. They don't always have the same sort of top end as more expensive brands, so if you want to go for 9.5 you better buy 8.5 to be safe.

As for ESCs, again go with Hobby King or Turnigy, but I think I prefer the HKs. Trackstar are re-branded Toro products.

You can get esc, motor and radio for under $150 + post, maybe even including post.

I have never been racing at the ryde track and I was wondering if anyone knew when the track is open for practice?

Hi Anthony,
The track is always open to the public 24/7 , there is a permanent opening on the West side of the track.

It's condition at the moment though is pretty rough probably due to continuous use by everyone and especially lack of consistent moisture levels.
Last couple of months it's always been either too wet or too dried out, and that has destroyed the surface.

Merry Christmas to all Ruff Ryders.

Got up to the hubs on the B44.2 before I stopped.

Gotta have something to do during Christmas

You're forgetting the Yokomo which is still ahead of its time even though its been around for a few years.
Ryde Winner of 4wd mod for 2012 can vouch for that., but seriously - sick car. If I was in the market for a 4wd I wouldnt think twice about getting another Bmax.

Here's the anthem for my Xmas this year, hope I get the bottle of whiskey and pack of fags I asked for so we can make this a truly memorable Xmas for the children.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Im looking forward to mod next year. The way i see it, racing in mod should only increase straight line speed. But cornering speed should be the same as stock racing.

Cheers
