Default Personal Transponders

Hi, I had my first racing day at Ryde last Sunday and had heaps of fun - thanks to the organisers and helpful club members.

I was wondering do many people use personal transponders at Ryde and if so where is the best place to get one (and is there a specific type that is needed)?

They are available on the day at the sign in tent. That price is about right.

Losi & Associated House have AMB transponders for about $120 + delivery and Stormer have them for about $130 + delivery.

Also Steve Carnage bought one that I can't remember the brand for $80AUD delivered, he hasn't had any troubles with it and it's really small.

$165 is a bit exy. Also, there are always AMB ones for sale on the sales thread.

it is MRT.
their transponder is called MRT PTX.

i've got one and had it cloned with the same ID as my AMB PT.

no issues with the PTX. yes, it is smaller than the AMB ones.

Hi everyone,

Regarding the race meeting tomorrow night, we will only have 3 out of 7 committee members attending so any help setting up, especially with the lights and running the BBQ would be greatly appreciated.
