I think the spring is slightly longer than what it should be, and the spring used in the rango build guide appears to be shorter though it has been compressed. For reference my spring free length is 8.90mm, and about 8.1mm when I clamped it down in a vice.

Anybody chime in?
Hi Mocky,

you might have figured it out by now, but I had the same thing happen to me when I built my B4. THe problem was that I had initially started the diff build with the wrong diff half. i.e.: pay very careful attention to which diff halve you are inserting the thrust bolt/bearing into.
If you do this the wrong way round, the dog bone will not plunge freely and will bind on the t-nut. And the other side will be fine.

Just dis assemble to component level and start again. Should work out.
I would be surprised if it is in fact a random extra long thrust spring.

good luck

Haven't been there in a while guys. Tis weekend was onroad time at Wollongong. Had a blast. Gee nick this has to be the second or third time you complemented me on something I did/have done. Thanks. You must be taking some happy pills

Rc devil ensure you have your radio switched on and connected as the blinky will only work while connected. And mocky. With the associated diffs you need to screw it down all the way until the black nut closes the gap in the out drive then back it out a bit. Dunno about Durango.

Id like to thank the RC Gods for supplying me with mechanical issues for most of my races. Its exactly what one wants for the day. I can handle driver errors, but not 4 mechanical failures.

Well done to Christian and Rob and Shane who made some great racing.

Cheers

A motor lol if you want a similar driving style go truck but if you want a new experience go with a buggy then you have to choose between 2wd or 4wd which both have there pros and cons

Thanks to everyone for getting us through today, it was a big meet, probably too big to start at 10am but we got there in the end. It was great to see the Ryde racers getting to the stand on time and quickly out to marshal, the shame is the laptop decided it wouldn't co-operate a few times today which really slowed things down at one stage and we had a few wrong transponders but nowhere near what we had last time I did race control, thanks to everybody.

Sorry I can't put the results up on the website yet, they seem to be hiding somewhere at the moment, but don't worry they are definitely still there...somewhere.

Great to see so many of our regular "bashers" turning up for a race day and WOW has all that practice paid off! Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves today and look forward to seeing you at the track again soon.
