speaking for local Sydney EC co racers:

how about we try a different approach & let the guys who want to actually run it decide what rules they'd like to run under. I think Paul Tomic, Peter Ellis, Matt Dall, Joe Chu, Damien Zarb, TimmyWASqik, Myself etc are more than capable of deciding for ourselves what we want and what will work.

Yep sounds like a great idea BK. Just spoke to Steve and glad to say that on the 29th on November Eastern Creek will run the first 19turn class. It's up to you guys to work out what and how you want to run it.

Like anything that gets posted on here, people will not agree on a format, there will be differences of opinion, especially from those who dont even race at, or rarely race at the creek, i mean, there is a guy from Wales arguing with us in Australia over what tyres we should run.

I think BK is right though, just get a consensus on Saturday & roll with it, if rules needs tweaking, then we will tweak it, after all, thats how the brushless motors were sucsessfully introduced, by a few people just running with it........

Leaving it on here will just cause a sh!t fight......again!

Well yes your right about that one. People just want to be a speed hump in things to make them look important and be part of it.

So guys I would say get a few head together on Sat and sort some things out, do some research and run with it on the 29th. I am sure the people that want to run it named below, have a decent head on their shoulders to set fair rules for everybody to run with.

a very good and extensive list it is.

a nice comprehensive list, and is also spelled out well as to what is legal, ie full descriptions on each part of the motor.

What is ARCOR though?

The Association for Radio Controlled Oval Racing, ARCOR

I like the idea of sticking to the ROAR rules, to keep the continuum of our association with their stock rules, but i cant see any list of approved motors on their site, only motors for stock and mod.

It's a fair assumption that people outside of Sydney are interested in this class as well (some of our guys in Bris have already started trialing some motors) and as it's pretty much happening all over the world why reinvent the wheel? Hers the BRCA list for you to look at.

we are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we are discussing whats avail and researching what Orgs like the BRCA, ROAR and ARCOR are doing.

And then subsequently ignoring it & doing it how its decided is best anyway:lol:

Australia does it better! :)
