If you have stripped the head of the screw (the hex) I usually just cut a slot in the head with a dremel cutting wheel and remove with a blade screwdriver. Then throw the screw in the bin. This has even worked on pinion grub screws.
If it is the thread you are talking about then you will have to be more specific, ie what is it threaded into and where its located and what kind of head does the screw have. |
Yeah its the head of the screw, the only problem is i dont have a dremel .
|
can you take a pic of it

I would say buy or borrow a dremel though. |
you could drill it out with a 3mm drill

If you have any intentions of staying in this hobby buy I dremel. You can get like Super Cheap ones for like $10 or something, but the only way your getting that screw out is by grinding a slot into it George |

Funny you should mention this, I just had one of my engine hex screws strip. It was a 2mm screw.
I drilled it out with a 1.5mm drill bit, then was able to insert a 1.5m hex (yes 1.5) and twist it out. Also, make sure you spray some WD40 around the screw. |

there is a product on the market that contains oil and iron fillings that help with strip screw ect. sorry dont remember the name
but dremel has to be the easiest option if the head is exposed |
