Just want to say I had a great time racing against all the short course trucks out there, and they said it would end in carnage,
you guys take funny line but you are all gentlemen racers

peli how has the trinity gone on the track?? you had any cogging issues? what esc you running. has it got the oomph you want for it??
i just bought a mamba max pro which im gonna throw in to fix the cogging, then play with gearing to get it pulling hard. i have a month off over xmas so ive got plenty of time to finnaly sort the sc10 race set up and get some drive time with the 4x4. i cant decide between the 4x4 and the platinum edition.. i want both!

Do any of you SC10 racers have any suggestions on what Motor/ESC I should be looking for?

Cheers

For what purpose? Bashing, racing? We run 13.5 brushless, any brand seems to do.

I am after a brushless 13.5t system with ESC for racing at St Ives and Ryde...

RC Pit in Yagoona, in Sydney but not many people here could probably help you with Melbourne. Try the Knox thread, they race them there.

Very nice Dan.

After racing Nitro Onroad, I thought I would try may hand at SC Truck racing. I should be getting my SC10 roller next week, but what i want to know is what tyres are best (front & rear) and how competative are the Hobbywing 13T brushless systems compared to the 13.5 brushless.

I will need to pay a visit to RC Pit next week.

As far as I'm concerned, Proline Calibers in M3 are the pick. As for Hobbywing, I don't know. I have a 17.5 HW that I was running in my 4WD and it has big cogging issues off the line, and a little wimpy all round.

gee that slash has had some coin dropped on it,dont like the chances of all them alloy arms being straight after a few encounters with our big tabletop....very nice truck though, will be good to see it on track and to have a look at up close, what body is covering it?

for next year i'm pretty sure the 13 turn HW systems wont be legal for SCT racing, only 13.5 upwards..

as for tyres,i like the standard SC10 tyres up front and love the Proline Bowties in M2,or M3....the new Calibers are even better as Steve has said

noticed theres been quite a few SMA drivers picking up SCT and offroad as well as Ryde for some fun...next year in SCT will be great in Sydney

Thanks for your help.

Looks like i'll go with the 13.5 and pick up a few tyre combo's. What rollout is a good starting point?
