Hi Guys and gals, just a quick word from a fellow slash addict.

we at knox off road in melbourne are running 12t titan, 17.5 brushless and 27t rebuildable as motor choices (brushless for lazy people like me who dont like maintenence issues) and we find performance to be very equal, infact the titan motor powered unit tends to be more consistant as he isn't needing to low down as much before getting into the corners. on our main straight the brushless had a lead (from standing start) of half a car length on 27t and it had a lead if the same to the titan. Usually we run with the more "traditional" stock powered trucks like t4 etc and we find they slashes are reasonably competitive. we generally get 3 slashes at a meet.

Keep on slashing!!

thanks for the wicked racing today fellas

slash madnesss as usualbumping banging,sideswiping....the hurt was put on a few rigs, but all come out fine......killed our first titan today..mine

next race i will have a lrp bigblock to run instead(12 turn 550 modified)hoping it will be a similar speed to a slash titan...but more reliable

8 trucks on track today..absolute ball to race with, even on my slickslearnt a bit about the lines and speed we can carry on certain sections......lap times have fallen by 10 secs in 2 races...we are getting better

well done to Dave and Todd, for wooping our butts all day......

and good to see the couple of young fellas that rocked up for the day having a ball too.....

Woah, the slashes were all over the place!
I missed out on the first race cause of ESC troubles but got three in until the final when my wheel fell off!
I live near Miranda, do you guys know of any other tracks near me I could check out?

I know you guys are just kidding around, because you would never do anything to jeopardise our somewhat shakey relationship with council and the local residents, but to anybody who tries racing at the track at night, outside of club events, the cops will be called by the locals and there is a minimum $450 fine. Same goes for running nitros at any time.

So if anybody gets any ideas from this thread.....DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT!

Sorry guys it had to be said even though I personally would love to do it, unfortunately we can't let others outside the club think they can muck about at the track at any time of the day.

I have heard there are some cool spots at Macquarie Uni that could be used at night!

Nick

yep only mucking around

was actually thinking about the neighbours complaining to the cops....was just dreaming about how cool it would be to have a night race.....

450 bucksthats a expensive noise complaint....

so what is at macquarie uni...a dirt area or something...dare say the security guards would want ya to leave but....

maybe could have a night race out at the butterfly farm track,no residents to annoy there...
