How did Roman go with his SC10 today?

Good to hear about the track being in good condition, can't wait for 2moro's enduro.

Justin and Hayden helped me with tuning the beast.

Cut the body shell for better air flow, stiffened the rear springs, lowered the bodyshell, 0 degrees camber on rear instead of -2 .

I got it feeling a lot better, i love it, can't wait for tomorrow.

got to be honest, I don't think photos show the full extent of the radicalness of the halfpipe

But then again, I'd shit myself if I was to drive in a car in a halfpipe the height of 12 storey building, and get air up to the 40th floor, F**K, why hasn't anyone made a shrinking machine, could just imagine us lot driveing these thgings around Ryde, peli, for sure would be the KAMIKAZE one

Just wanted to say congrats to my following team members for taking out the Short Course class in the enduro. To Steve, Jimmy and Roman, awesome effort and despite the numerous delays we encountered, to claim fourth outright was a very good result. We were actually leading the race for quite a while at the beginning of the race, was awesome. Go the SC Heroes (AE SC10's all-stars)!

The 1/10 Losi race car revival has started....

Vid of a new Losi Pro 4 SCT lapping the field at a recent race in the US...
With factory drivers of course

They got 1st/2nd in there first race against the factory Hyper/Jammin teams

Pretty dominating for there first race.....

AE has hinted there Pro4 will be 540 powered and lightweight......Probably the same path Losi will take

Looks a lot like a buggy with a truck body and wheels, that should stir the pot a little! Seriousy though it does look low.

Another note, that track is pretty cool, obviously the result of what you can do with a bit of money and full time staff, when you compare it to Sydney tracks you gotta say we all do a pretty good job with volunteers and very little money.

From the rumours doing the rounds its based of there Ten T

http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0126

More like the Ofna's of John's and Shane's... shrunken 1/8th buggy setups

But then you read other stuff saying its going to be lighter than that and more like what AE are doing....
The Vid appears to support the light weight buggy route by Losi....it still is only a vid and doesnt really show much though as to the chassis underneath

And Rick Howart or Cliff Lett from AE have already said that the 2 current race options(Hyper and Jammin) aren't designed properly and too heavy, and just 'throw togethers essentially'...

They claim to be designing there Pro4 from the ground up for 1 thing,to destroy all other Pro4's with a 540 onboard,no 550 required

Im hoping this doesnt mean plastic diffs

And Losi are following the Pro 4 with a new 2wd buggy, truck and Pro 2.....if you believe it all that is....but 1 definite you could read out of it is,Losi is coming back with proper 1/10th race cars/trucks....

And round christmas time as well

Seano will be happy to hear that,im guessing his MF2 will be happy to retire as the "King" too

What about a new 4wd buggy ?
Surely this is long overdue. . .

@ Peli ...or more Twineese plastic that they will market as serious racers

Losi have done a Ford AU on us racers. Swapping a solid purpose designed line for a blank and bland product and telling you "This might look like Kia design reject but it really is as good for towing as the Falcon.... Honest"

Yep, they might be called "Losi", but they got rid of Gil and the Losi family ages ago.

Not the same Losi anymore.

I don't want to sound too harsh though, they probably still have some good designers on board.

Really. Their "new" gearbox (Slider, High Roller, etc) is twice the physical size of the XXX series, has a plastic idler that strips easily and an optional brass gear that wears out and shreds the other gears.

Seriously is that a step forward? Does it make sense to make the tooling for a new crunch box when you have the molds, parts and history with a 98% perfect box with 17 years of refinement (from the inception of the XX)?

Sounds like good business sense to me.
