The Proposed dates for the Intercity Weekend are;
ONROAD
Date: Saturday 1 Nov 2008
Location: The Good Guys
Start Time: 5pm
Classes: Nitro Pro, Stock, Pro Stock
OFFROAD
Date: Sunday 2 Nov 2008
Location: Heatley EP Track
Start Time: 9am
Classes: Open Truck, 2WD, 4WD
We have planned to hold both Intercity events ( Onroad / Offroad ) over the same weekend to minimise travelling for our fellow Cairns Racer's. Once these dates are firm I will post up the nomination forms for the events. Should be a great weekend of Racing.
Thanks

The committee would like to get an indication of anyone who is interested in travelling down to Townsville for this event. We are looking at working out a way of getting people in any spare seats going down to minimise expense. either post on here, send a pm, or send an email to [email protected].

For info of anyone interested, we are progressing as planned with the offroad facility:
Clearing of land should hopefully be done within a couple of weeks,
Then the perimeter fence can be installed
,
We have an electrical pole for our power connection already awaiting installation and connection,
Our water connection is progressing,
Clean fill is getting organised also.
We also had a number of items donated from a builder that will be utilised down at the facility.
All in all, it is very exciting times ahead.
Dont forget to get your track design's in, and advise the club if you want/need a personal transponder
Cheers

WOW, what a turnaround, not 1 breakage for me in townsville this weekend, by all accounts, very little damage was suffered by all (one nasty one for a TM
) but overall not too bad.
Thanks to "Priggy" for letting me have a run on Sunday with his 2wd buggy, man how much fun was that, first time racing electric offroad since my Fox 20 years ago
. Thanks mate
Full steam ahead now with the off-road track, let's get to it and return the favour for our southern comrades.
I'm buzzin after that weekend, had a ball with good mates, Thanks guys
