The CRCMCC Inc, would also like to extend thanks to EVERYONE involved in the day, from the volunteers to the racers for making the day run trouble free. A special thanks to the racers for putting on a fast, fair and clean day of racing. New track records everywhere. Congratulations to all the podium finishers in all classes. Photo's will be posted, along with the full racing results, on the club's website at www.cairnsrc.com. (If anyone has objections to their photo being posted on the website, please let us know, and we will not post it)

In addition, the club would like to gauge interest from anyone who may be interested in purchasing a DVD with highlights of the days racing. We're thinking a nominal fee of $5 each to cover expense of production. Let us know here, or via PM.

I would also like to thank everyone for the atmosphere on the day, the fast guys were willing to help the slower guys (me ) with set-up advice etc..., and the slower guys (me again ) tried to drive consistently and politely to keep out of the fast guys way.

The nitro pro final was great fun, and the V-One/Picco combo of mine didn't miss a beat the whole race, and i even managed to stay out of the barriers for a change. My first year back racing onroad after a lengthy (18 years) time away from the sport, and every time I race, I'm improving my lap times

Looking forward to racing this weekend, haven't had a chance to even look at my car since intercity , but finished that without any probs, so hopefully car should be ok. Will get to it Fri arvo hopefully. Been busy muckin around with the trailer , might be right to bring it this weekend, will have to see

For information, the Intercity Results will be removed from the club's website in 2 weeks, so if any competitors wish to download any of the results, please do so in this time.

Also the committee wishes to again thank all competitors for their conduct and attitude on the day. It was an excellent event with some awesome racing, and everyone from what we can gather had a great time. We speak for all Cairns members when we say cant wait for the final round in Townsville.

Good day's racing today guys, I'm wrapped in finally cracking a 17 lapper, including a sub 17 second lap . Just gotta sort out this little glow plug issue now . How much fun do you think all the kids (Including the older 'Kids' ) had in the new sportsman class. A great idea for the newer members and racers to not feel quite so intimidated by the pace of even the stock electric touring cars these days. Cheers guys

OFFROAD
Date: Sunday 2 Nov 2008
Location: Heatley EP Track
Start Time: 9am
Classes: Open Truck, 2WD, 4WD

We have planned to hold both Intercity events ( Onroad / Offroad ) over the same weekend to minimise travelling for our fellow Cairns Racer's. Once these dates are firm I will post up the nomination forms for the events. Should be a great weekend of Racing.
