Default Good luck

I hope you blokes up there get through the coming cyclone intact. My friends and I were not looking forward to it hitting here. I tried to get my family to leave. We are all relieved for our sakes but our thoughts are with you all.

God Bless

Terry

Default track modifications

I see there is some talk of modifying the track. here's a thought to save some time we could leave shovels and rakes out in the cyclones path and "presto" one modified track. Not sure of the exact layout but i'm guessing it would be quite rough!

Stay safe you guys. They saying this is one of the biggest ever, so make sure you have you spot to go to if your house starts to break up. If you haven't got that sorted yet, bathtub usually a good one with a mattress over the top of you. Don't forget, if the eye crosses over you, you will get a nice bright clear day, but then it comes right back at your from the opposite direction, so stay indoors until you here that its safe to go back out.

I was going to post yesterday for any who wanted to hit the road to get away from it that I have room down here, but broadband being down all last night made it impossible. To late now to bolt away from it, your stuck there now
Good luck

at this stage its tracking to just above cardwell the bottom half of yasi is huge, I guess Cairns might miss a direct hit but either way the winds will be off the chart, willis island weather station already gone this is gonna be a close one

Maybe they should get you guys to build the houses around Cairns with the same stuff.

At least you guys can now boast that you have a Cat 5 Cyclone safe stand and it has been tested.
