Spektrum

Hi,
I'm looking to get a Spektrum Radio and wondering where is the best place to get it. I'm located in Sydney.
I was considering purchasing it overseas but was wondering if they will work here and are allowed here?
Thanks guys.

Spektrum radios work fine here no matter where you buy it from. The only difference is you have no C-Tick on the radio and you have no warranty if something goes wrong. Spektrum DX3.0 and DX3R are the same price here in Australia as it is on-line, if you include the shipping price. So I would say no, it isn't better to buy it overseas. Any good hobby shop in Sydney will carry the Spektrum line or can order it for you in a day or two.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Thanks Patrick, I will buy here since they cost pretty much the same after shipping and currency conversion.

Headsup that in earlier this year there have been some dodgy batch/es
of Spektrum units ... both DX3.0 & DX3R.

Radios will work perfectly on your bench but have severely short range (10'?)

All faulty units have needed to be sent back to factory for fixing so
here's one big benefit of buying from somewhere where you get service
(or at least someone you can yell directly at hehehe)

Purchased my Spectrum DX3R from Kellets hobbies (in liverpool) about 2 months ago. Very happy:) no problems with mine at all.
