Default How good is carpet racing

Just want thoughts on how good carpet racing is guys. I was so impressed with the surface at Canberra it would be good to see a track in Sydney.

I wish them all the best, but I will remain sceptical having been burnt badly by the last attempt to do this in Sydney.

Default no idea

Mr F&^%$n Feral, one day you will surprise everybody on here and the US forum and say something NICE about somthing, i dont know what at this stage, but one day you will. If you go back through ALL of your entries, the only nice thing you say is about how f*&^N good YOU are. We, and by that i mean the ones that lost about $6,000, the ones that put the money in last time, are not involved in this thread, buying carpet or anything to do with it. As for money into it, (Thanks for giving me my money back by the way) like you said to Corey, "Put some of your money in" "AT LEAST HE PAYS HIS BILLS AND TAXES" and does not go B*&^%&*^T like some do, (YOU told me who) why dont YOU put some in as YOU are now saying YOU were burnt from before. Get some of the money back if YOU are that good, and please, please dont ring me or the family up and abuse the shit out of us and cry and winge and whine like YOU have before on several occassions if it is not said the way YOU like it. Now, go on, get the boys to say something, and by the way, did YOU see the mud on his arse .............
Thanks for listening
Have a nice day and peace be with YOU

Hey Bob,

I never said I got burnt .. read it again. Pirate said he got burnt

And Bob ... saying how good I AM . Have a look at your posts regarding your results from 20 years ago .. and your awesome 4th place recently and your awesome club results

BTW .. cant ring you because I dont have your number

And Adam,

You guys went off a little half cocked when you went with the carpet track ... not enough research etc. It was a shame to see it happen because it scares racers from going again in the future. It seems that the Adelaide guys have done more research and have got it working quite well

Tried and failed twice? The first I assume was Hurstville (NSW Indoor Raceway), which I thought shut down due to a falling out of the operators rather than the organisation/numbers? (correct me if I'm wrong I was still pretty young back then), and the second being the recently defunct S.I.R?

Its a shame to see this thread collapse so quickly as I think there is a place in the Sydney racing community to fit a dedicated carpet facility. I personaly havent been to the ACT track but have heard nothing but good things about it. I love racing on carpet so if anyone is thinking about reviving a carpet track in Sydney I wish them the best of luck, and if it gets going let me know, I'll race there.
