They do. They also have a geography that lends itself to people travelling across the whole country for events relatively easily. And they have a much larger racing population, and far more resources at an administrative level. So, systems that work well in the UK don't necessarily translate.

The Keilor club would purchase them and hand them out to the Invitation Stock drivers. Good PR for the event , the class and the rule change in my opinion.
If the club chose to take them back after the event and re-sell them - that's up to them

As soon as I see the invoice for the motors I'll let you know. It's not far I expect.

Current expectation for them to be available is January.
They are being made at the factory as we speak, if not already.

With the adoption of a control motor for 17.5T Stock racing in 2017 for sanctioned events , when will these motors be available to purchase?
Reason I ask is that the first major meeting of 2017 is the Keilor Invitational (unsanctioned) but it would be a great opportunity to "road test" these new motors at a scrutineered event. Handed out to the Stock Invite drivers , they would be able to do realtime feedback on performance etc.
Just a thought.......

I meant when "I" see the invoice - ie: the invoice to AARCMCC for the motors - i'm the one who will have to pay it.

The Keilor club would pay for the motors , not AARCMCC. That way they can decide what to do with them after the event.
AARCMCC has no financial link with the Keilor Invitational that I'm aware of - so why would AARCMCC pay for motors for it?????
Anyways it seems that the club has decided to forgo the new rules and allow the 2016 rules to be used in 17.5T racing........

Clive is saying that he'll know the motors aren't far away when he sees the invoice. In other words AARCMCC will be invoiced when the motors they are waiting on are ready, at which point Clive will know they are available for others to purchase too.
He's not suggesting there is any sort of financial arrangement between Keilor and AARCMCC.
