Super Stock 4WD buggy in 2009
Starting with our first Off-road race meeting in 2009, Castlemaine R/C Car Club Inc. will be running the AARCMCC 1/10th Super Stock 4WD electric buggy class. This class will compliment our existing 1/10th open class and give keen racers a step up to quicker cars in a sanctioned class. Check the AARCMCC site for further details on the class.
All racers are always welcome to come along to Castlemaine and join in the fun.

Off-road Enduro December 2008
Hi Everybody.
We have been planning an event to run in December (Sunday the 7th) to wind up the race year and are keen to run a teams enduro, using different class vehicles in the following race format:-
10 minutes Open electric (or 4WD Super Stock) Driver 1
40 minutes Sport Buggy Driver 2
10 minutes Open electric (or 4WD Super Stock) Driver 1
40 minutes Truggy Driver 3
10 minutes Open electric (or 4WD Super Stock) Driver 1
40 minutes Pro Buggy Driver 4
10 minutes Open electric (or 4WD Super Stock) Driver 1
Total event duration 2 hrs 40 mins.
Winners will be the team who completes the most laps in the race time and trophies will be awarded to members of the top three teams. Entry for the event will be $20 per head.
4 people per team means 1 driver, 1 pitman, 1 marshall, 1 standby/ready box at all times during the event.
There will always be enough marshalls on the track and all drivers get equal track time (40 minutes).
Due to the size of our drivers stand, we can run 10 teams comfortably (40 participants), or 11 teams without too much trouble.
What do you think of that?
If you are interested in participating, please post here or email me at [email protected]
Either put your own team together, or enter individually and we will find a team for you.
Cheers
Glenn

Well I would be interested in running but I have never raced @ castlemaine. I usually run @ knox/keilor in 4wd stock. If you can muster the other drivers we could form a team. I might be a bit off the pace though as I will be running a 17.5t against mod guys Yes I could buy a 13.5t and run super stock but I wouldn't run that motor anywhere else. I was planning to bring down a few guys running 17.5t and having our own race as there are no other meetings on that weekend. Please let me know what is happening.
Thanks

We would prefer 4WD Super Stock buggies, but if you have a 17.5T BL or silver can 540, then bring that along. As it is a fun teams event oner 2 hrs 40 mins, consistancy is the key to victory. If you have a 2WD buggy or a 1/10th Stadium Truck (nitro or electric), then that can run as well. We just want cars on the track and smiles on faces. We will be running cars of similar sizes at the one time, so you won't get run over by a Monster Truck or anything silly like that.
Simply submit the names and classes of participants and the event will be a success and you will have a good time.
If we have heaps of extra 1/10th vehicles, then there will be extra groups added to accomodate them.
There are plenty of nitro drivers up here but not so many 1/10th electrics, so you will all find a team to race with.
You should find Castlemaine pretty friendly towards 1/10th electric vehicles. Just take the triple as a double+single combination and all will be well. That is what I do with my Lazer Readyset + 19T + NiMh.
See you all there (here).
Cheers

I believe that you guys classify 13.5 as stock and 10.5 as superstock. Whereas the national standard for offroad according to orrca and roar is 17.5 stock 13.5 superstock. Not that any of this makes any difference it is all fun after all. Actually we do have some of the slower guys using 13.5 against us using 17.5 till they get up to speed. Regardless of what motors are being used I will be there....Hmmmm a triple you say, we have a triple @ knox which is heaps of fun, looking forward to checking out your track and clearing that triple Or maybe not

10.5, 13.5, 17.5, 19T, 540 .............. If it has wheels we will race it.
The triple??? Around the hairpin, line up and nail it, then, FLY, BOY, FLY!!! Oops, Grow some wings you overweight b@st@rd
