guys, for those that are not aware... and just so everyone is up to speed with what is legal and what is not for sanctioned electric racing in Australia...
here is an excerpt from the AARCMCC thread on RCTECH:
"AARCMCC will soon be releasing the mid year rule updates, this will include the allowance of brushless motors for the controlled classes. This will allow 17.5 motors to be run in stock and 10.5 to be run in the current 19 turn Super Stock class. Batteries will be updated to include 4600 cells as per the EFRA and ROAR lists. LiPo batteries we expect will be introduced as of January 2009."

note.. as of this post, the mid year updated rules HAVE NOT BEEN POSTED.
as far as approved motors and batteries go, you can view them from aarcmcc site: http://www.aarcmcc.org/rules.html look for the Electric section.
quick summary:
4600 and 4800 cells not legal till After July
Motors follow Jan 08 list of approved motor list
Brushless 17.5 (Stock) and 13.5 (19T) not legal After July
Orion SHO 4200 list added to approved battery list:
