Default FW05T Chinese Copy!

Found this car on eBay... Direct copy of the Kyosho FW05T, wonder if these guys produce the car for Kyosho and are selling their own product on the side.

Its made by Heng Long and its called a Sprint. Its almost like a FW05 but it has an aluminium upperdeck instead of plastic. Its made in China and it is almost like a FW05. Its a lot cheaper retail and wholesale too. Parts are cheap as well. It is brought in locally and your LHS should have no problems getting parts for them here in Australia.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I think they retail for around $350.00-395.00 RTR from your local hobby shop.

I've seen them go for under 200$ at a place in Mt Druitt, and the tuning is easy on them as they only have 1 needle to fiddle with and Kyosho parts fit them

Thanks Patrick, i was actually looking at what they were going for on ebay. Do you know what stores (online?) have parts for them?

Would be even better if Kyosho parts fit...

Thanks

I don't know of any shops online that carry parts for them. We sold a few of these cars before and have ordered replacement parts for them as well. Parts are pretty cheap, a lot cheaper then original FW05 parts and are easier to get. If you buy this car online, just make sure you can source parts for them or it isn't worth buying. The car isn't made very well and I've seen a couple of chassis bend upper and lower decks from a medium hit. Its probably made from recycled beer cans, lol.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Bought mine fr $180 on ebay last year. They are ok, plastic is very bendy/poor quality though.

Thanks for the feedback, guess we have seen this sort of stuff before with Hong Nor and the LD3/NTC3 and then the CD3/FW05-R
