I had heard that this event was possibly not going to happen. I'm guessing this puts those rumours to an end....

Default event timing

i know the race calender is fairly full but the timing of the event 1 week after a round of the NIS round seems a little odd

I agree the timing is not ideal.

Unfortunately PDNR don't get much of a choice when they can use the Regatta Centre on weekends. This date was booked early last year when we we booking our 2007 calendar - we are expecting a low entry response because many of our members are competing at the Mingara Cup the week before.

I encourage anybody interested in attending this event get their entry in ASAP so the club can get an idea of interest.

i would of thought if the date was locked in last year it would of been good to pass the info on to the other NIS clubs before they set their dates, although hopefully next year this will be rectified with a centralised calender

Thumbs up PROLINE 3 HOUR

Have you got what it takes to finish a 3 hour let alone win the race, a team event that tests man & machine. With a 20 car field this has all the makings of a great night of RC racing. Good luck to those who enter......... All details at the PDNR web site

Entry List is up to 14 Teams! - should be another great event.

If you're not racing but still interested in the event, we need some volunteer officials and all teams usually appreciate any extra help they can get!

Don't forget this event is being held in the P5 carpark (RTA) - turn right immediately after entering the Main Gate. There is a map on the Proline 3 Hour Classic page of the PDNR website - www.pdnracing.org.au

Hope to catch you at the track.

The event went really well, I think all teams enjoyed it. Reliability was the best ever, with most teams running for the entire event.

It was a bummer you couldn't make it - one of the reasons we chose the FX Enzo body was because they made it in 190mm, but no EP teams entered!

Hope to see you at the next one!!

Default Quick Result Summary

The 2007 Proline PDNR 3 Hour Classic was held on Saturday November 17. Here is a quick summary of the results - full results will be posted on the PDNR website soon.

After a gruelling 3 hours of non-stop racing the podium was:

1st - Team RB - 575 laps
Matt Russell / Tony Firth / Jack Umenberger / Brett Umenberger
Kyosho SIII / RB / ATS / Meccamo

2nd - WSV (TQ) - 493 laps
Wayne Thomas / Chad Donnolly / Jonathan Lo Iacono
Kyosho RRR / Sirio / ZAC / AT Racing

3rd - JPM Racing - 443 laps
Nathan Ryan / John Bates / David Lo Iacono
Kyosho / RB / ATS / Meccamo

Thanks again to Proline (HEI International) for sponsoring this event - all teams used the Proline FX Enzo body - which not only looked great, but handled really well.

PDNR would also like to thank the other supporters who donated heaps prizes which teams were able to select from:
- Graham's Hobby Centre
- Auswide Hobbies & Collectables
- JPM Racing
- Tool Aus
- Scott's Auto One - Penrith
- Kennards Hire - Penrith

And a big thanks also to all teams for getting involved, especially the hard working crew that set up and packed up the track. We hope you enjoyed the challenges that an endurance RC event has to offer, and hope you will be putting another team together for the 2.4 Hour Le mans in 2008.

Sounds like another great event, a real pity we were unable to attend. We will be making a big challenge on Le Mans next year, would be good if we could coax some more EP entrants out of the woodwork too!
Any other EP drivers keen to mount a challenge against the noisy drivers? The strong showing at this years RC Bathurst 1000 is proof that it is possible to take it to the nitro boys....
