2.4 Ghz problem

can anybody tell me 2.4ghz can use in boat or not ? Bcos someone say when the propeller turning ,have frequence come out to affect the RX , Is that true ?

X5 Addict 09-30-2007 03:09 AM

Wouldn't think so unless the prop is generating 2.4GHz. Highly unlikely I would have thought!

I know a few people that use 2.4GHz in boats and they don't have any problems.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

dsm 2.4 probs

HI, besides building offroad track I actually race boats at penrith, I run 3 boats all with zenoahs, all modded, and the only problem I have had is when one of my boats went over I and I must underline I didnt check the amount of water that got in the radio box and my battery went dead in the boat at full noise (oh how messy it got then), other wise the usual story applies, keep the batteries charged and you will have hassel free running, some times I have had to re bind the receiver to the controller but only a couple of times, the story about the prop making interferance must be from a plane dude, I have never heard it before, regards Jason.

A plane dude here,,,Props got no effect on 2.4 ghz,

But what doe's,,,I have built carbon fiber fuselage you wanna get the aerial outside the fuse ASAP. carbon blocks RF signal...

I have also run a ducted fan brushless doing 45000+rpm @60+amps and the RF that comes from esc motor wires you don't want receivers around, but it wont effect 2.4ghz as much as AM,FM,
still you always segregate receivers&brushless as much as possible and do radio checks(hard with 2.4 you cant put the aerial down:lol:)
Not yet tried my 2.4 in the www.swashdrive.com.au yet.cant see a prob.
