Have been looking for a spare 1.5mm allen tip for yonks, but everywhere I've tried only has the full driver - if any.

Anyone see them on a LHS shelf anywhere? How much?
Calling CMC won't be too useful in getting me a A$ price.
Nevertheless, overseas I see the tips sold @ ~US$5, about half the price of the whole thing.
psst: I thought one wasn't to be able to BREAK these 'springsteel' things!!

CMC are the importers of Hudy. They are the one's to contact for a retail price enquiry.

Ergo, would CMC dare to speculate on RRPs?

We can break anything if we try.

Might be time to visit NSW again.

Okie - I just called CMC.
Nup, no stock on the tip alone.
(Didn't sound like anyone in Oz has stock of it.)
Guy that I spoke to there suggested "there's not much difference in price between spare tip and whole driver".
I didn't want to ask him much more, its 5pm on Friday afterall.

1) they're springsteel, they'll never break from torsional forces (ie don't use them as a prybar),
2) there's a lifetime guarantee on that and
3) they'll never wear out
Now haha,
so much for #1
cannot find sign of #2, and
still working on #3 (but I think Hudy's winning on this).
Ahh, good old sales fluffery!!
Its definitely a twisting force that broke it too, driver wasn't bent at an angle or anything - the break is cone-shaped pointy like a pencil's tip. (Looks like the remains of the liveaxle halfshaft that we snapped on the 1:1!)

Get the 'o' rings from any hardware store. Just take the one from your lathe in to match it up. And they are cheaper from the hardware store.

lol, try and break the 5mm... I have one and it is HUGE!

I ain't breaking them; they just disappear...!
I gotta go find a better hardware store... have tried several
Bunnings in Melb and *none* of them stock o-rings...!!
Not in various sizes anyway, only 1 or 2 'standard' ones in the
bathroom plumbing sections. Oooh, and in the gardening section
as a $20 rebuild kit for a pumpsprayer. Either way wrong size.
Keeping eyes peeled for tiny mom-n-pop shop... are they any left?
(my last favourite one has gone; damned, they had
good selection of M3 fasteners too, no longer.)
