2007 ORRCA QLD On-Road Titles
#61
Hello all,
The SCRCCC has decided with permission from ORRCA to hold a 540Masters in conjunction with the ORRCA Qld Titles. THE 540 MASTERS IS NOT A QLD TITLE EVENT. The 540 Masters will be run alongside the Qld Titles utilizing the same ORRCA rules. However the 540 Masters will only be open to people 17 years and older.
Nominations and all payments for the 540Masters are to be made directly to SCRCCC. A Nomination form will be posted on our website and a link put on this thread when it is available(hopefully in the next couple of days). This event is run on the proviso that if there is any time constraints for any reason during the Qld Titles the 540 Masters will be adjusted (heats or finals dropped or possibly cancelled altogether if time or weather conditions prevail) as the Orrca Title events is the main reason for this Event being held.

540 "Masters". Another oxymoron to describe the novice class (for seniors though this one!) Support events only detract from the real thing - the QLD TITLES.
Any money the winner of this support class will fondly reminisce about the year they were "State Champion". Thats how these guys think. Very funny stuff, but I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

After a few minutes of reflection, I think I'm starting to come around to the idea. Come on Pete, lets you and me race this class and show these guys a thing or two about drivers stand trash talk!
On second thought, the modified B final sounds like a better place for a classic showdown (no I haven't given up hope just yet!)

Hmmmmm, 540 masters, maybe I should stage a mini comback for this event, Keith (long time faithful FIR member) myself and Big bad Peter Dooley, we would need Microphones on the drivers stand and a audio stream to the internet. The drivers stand trash talk would be awesome. We would however need a 30 second buffer to bleep the expletives and the questioning of sexual preferences. Shouldnt be too difficult. Maybe Damien Barnier could help us out there.
Now All I need to do is borrow some gear, Only need a car, radio, Speed Control, motor, batteries, charger. Anyone got a 65.5 brushless????????????Its ok I still have a power supply.
Not too much to ask is it???
Kind Regards.
