cantona 11-17-2007 09:23 PM

yup correct....

puddle 11-17-2007 11:08 PM

So its open for all other classes other than 2wd and 4wd mod?

Maybe we should look at this event to be a control tyre event also? I'm happy to run just Holeshots in 4wd stock. It makes planning easy and cuts costs down.:D

We intend to water the track on saturday and sunday.
Hopefully enough water can be applied friday and saturday night so watering wont take to long between rounds.
The changes to the track has cut lap times by about 8 seconds.
We have just got 10 club transponders at last.
Personals can be used for the event.
Can the state captains give me their teams and frequency on saturday.
Thanks guys.
2 weeks to go.

Well, while control tyre would be nice, bit late for some of us. I have back to back weekends and wodonga was gonna be "whats left over" tyres from the truck classic.

Tune71 11-18-2007 03:28 AM

As the Vic titles where then, 2wd buggy tyre X2000's 4wd Holeshots? Do we all agree on that or do the Stock guys want to leave it open?

cantona 11-18-2007 11:50 AM

i think its a case of letting everyone know...... In mod its a little easier to do this....

puddle 11-18-2007 01:16 PM

leave truck stock/mod open :)

control tires would be the way to go! but due to the time of year, money xmas etc might be better just to leave it open for this year and put some plan's into place for next year. just my 2c:cool:

At this point, I totally agree, the racing season is almost over for most of us, and most of us are preparing for next year already, like I previously said, while I am taking this event seriously, I am also going to be using 1-2 run old rubber across the weekend to lower the costs for me.

On another note, some of us at this sort of lead time, cant get rubber at a reasonable price.

Next year tho, control tyre sounds okay :)

nitro dave 11-18-2007 04:05 PM

can we have the team list posted?

ScottyP 11-18-2007 05:06 PM

The 'control tyre' discussion for this year is mainly for the two mod classes I believe. It's more of a gentleman's agreement really, than 'control tyre' as such.

Unless the drivers from other classes want to agree on a set tyre, they're free to use whatever they like.

I'm not sure I would like to see this event move to control tyres across the board. It makes it too serious!

Cheers,
Scotty P.
