Default good places in syd to photograph events

hey guys im a photographer (mainly motorsports) and am looking to start shooting rc car meets/events/comps etc but have no idea where to start, the events thread is somewhat helpful but seems to be mainly interstate stuff so was hoping people here may be able to offer advise on where is good in sydney and how often meets/events are held, im also interested in off road type stuff, i have a friend in the states who shoots off road rc cars and it looks awesome

here are some of his shots

so would love to know if there are any events like this is syd even NSW to an extent.

cheers
michael

www.moorebankraceway.com is probably the best place to start for on-road in sydney. mostly because they do 1/8th and 1/5th scale aswell as the 1/10th.

The best location for onroad stuff would have to be my home club, not because it is my home club, but because the venue, and facilities (ie the track, the run off areas for the cars, the different classes run (ie 5th scale, 8th scale and 10th scale) means the pictures end up looking more the part due to the track being a purpose built onroad facility.

our clubs site is; http://www.moorebankraceway.com
you can email any questions regarding our club to; [email protected]

the other track for offroad shots would have to be the offroad track, only down the road from the onroad club, which is Liverpool Rally Radio Control Club, LRRCC. they also have a purpose built offroad track for 8th buggies and trugggies, trucks etc.

Livo's offroad site is; http://www.lrrcc.com

check out the website for each club for locations and directions

cheers,

Tomas
