Can't we just make one of the legs a team-choice of either a mini or a second pro driver ? (This works well too - lets our biggest class - pro tourers - get more gys involved)

Again, I'm just thinking of including the guys who only have a mini to race - it's a bit unfair to exclude them from a major club activity because of their chassis choice.

Since strategy of which car type runs first, 2nd 3rd etc is up to the team, a pro driver racing in around novices won't necessarily do as well as they normally would due to the quality of the traffic.

I think the limits should be set to perhaps:

Master Driver - max 1 per team
Mini Driver - max 1 per team
Novice Drivers - min 1, max 2 per team
Pro Driver - min 1, max 2 per team.

I also suggest all cars must run 540 johno motors (including mini and masters - kit motors only for Novice (must be be in original condition - no change to leads etc and only if they don't own a johno)

Marshalls are not allowed to fix damaged cars - Damaged cars must put it to the side of the track for the respective team to retrieve and fix. That way the marshall can resume marshalling duties ASAP - no favoritism.

No running allowed, brisk walking is the fastest means of movement allowed - 10 lap penalty.

All battery changes must occur from the pit lane area only.

speeding in the Pit lane = 5 Lap penalty. (must be crawl speed)

causing an accident on leaving the pit lane = 5 lap penalty.

That should do for starters....
dave, that would mean that a team could have 4 drivers and another team could have 6 drivers, giving the team with 6 less run time and more changes which might give them an advantage?

Hawker, I think the rules was 4 people per team - Dave's just trying to say something like "you can replace your mini guy with a guy from novice or pro if you want".

And is it *really* a good idea to have minis, novices, pros and masters on the track at the same time?

Whatever is decided - it's going to be so much fun - which is what it's all about.

Precisely.

max 4 drivers per team.
the make-up of that team must follow the rules....

From my point of view Johnson 540 motors in all cars is not negotiable. I was definitely thinking of running all the Mini at least in the same stint. probably for maximum team-supporter involvement it would be best to run all the cars in a set order of rotation ie all Mini, all novice, all pro and alll masters to finish.

Only problem I have is how am I going to get a Schumacher team together when a Mini has to be included.

With the amount of missions going around at Yeronga, why limit yourself to one team Heavy?

XPRESS

XPRESS is a fine car which has been trying to prove itself for years mostly with little success. So little success that the co has apparently closed down. Don't break too many bits, could be a problem.

You have two options (1) Cut a section out of the chassis or (2) Drive it hard in to a wall then simply tie a knot in the belt!

If you require any further assistance just ask!!!!!

Just a concern about all the rules for the enduro.
is there going to be someone spectating the track and especially pit lane, to inforce the rules about pit lane speed and other requirements.

otherwise i agree with the choice to replace the mini driver with another pro or novice.

looks like its going to be a very fun night.
