I don't know if the new format and timing for the meet will be conducive to running two clases.

It's a two day event. All classes qualify together on Saturday and Sunday morning and all have their finals on Sunday.

The idea was to discourage advanced drivers from dropping down to lower classes (some call them trophy hunters) - Drivers have to pick their favourite class (makes it fairer for the less experienced drivers and gives them a chance).

If you do plan to try and run two cars, stock up on batteries and find a friend to do your marshalling duties or you'll go mad.

I heard of some people out there, who aren't going to give it a try(scared ?) - I say that the event will be very different from a normal night race and thus traction and speed will be different - I think that the winners may not be the same regular night race favourites.

Probably a good plan Dave (to only run 1 class). I was going to give stock a go instead, but I have only ever run one meet with a stock motor (last weekend!) and still feel like I don't really have a clue about them, how to gear them, etc etc. Might give it a run at logan this weekend and see how we go.

For the record, if you look at the entry forms for the state titles, it says "540 OR stock OR mod". So you can only enter one class.

Then, curiously, it says "entry is $30 for one class, $40 for two". But I guess this is probably for the concourse.

Dows anyone know if 240v will be available at the track?

Thanks.

There is 240v available at the track but bribg a power board and a lead.

You can definitely enter two classes if you so desire but be warned your marshalling obligations must be met.

Guys,

I'm running the 04 down at meakin tonight, I'd suggest that all of us 04 runners get together to work out gear ratios, I went down on sunday and found that using 48pitch with a 74 pinion and a 39 spur I was flying, I can push it harder so i'm going to gte some more gears for practice tonight.

Heavy, if you have a 74 spur, 75 spur and 40, 41 pinion could you put them aside for me? will you be at practice tonight?

thanx

David,

It has its own thread, named something to the effect of "2003 QLD electric tiles".

Here :

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=23443

There's a link to the entry form on the first page. the entry is on the ORRCA QLD site.

Entries close next friday 17th October - don't be late or you'll need to pay a fee.
